Chairman's Message

Welcome to D.M.J. Institute of Nursing Science
(A unit of D.M.J. Foundation)

We started this institute with a clear and heartfelt dream: to bring wonderful, caring and deeply humanitarian nurses into society who create a positive impact, and to give the nursing profession the immense respect and recognition it truly deserves.

My own background is not in nursing, but my journey in leading this institution is driven by a deep respect for healthcare professionals and a clear, singular vision. I am fully committed to providing our future nurses with the absolute best academic training possible. To make that happen, I have focused heavily on building a campus with the modern infrastructure you need to thrive.

I firmly believe that a great education is about much more than what you learn in a textbook or a hospital corridor. It is about how you live your life. Here at DMJIONS, we treat our campus like a secondary home - a warm, safe space for both our incredible students and our dedicated staff. Within this supportive environment, we maintain certain rules and a high standard of personal discipline.

These guidelines are not here to restrict you; they are designed for your well-being, helping to shape you into deeply respectable, responsible and trusted nurses.

True nursing is built on a foundation of unity, mutual respect and a genuine love for your fellow human beings. To cultivate these values, we must look after the whole person - mind, body and spirit. This is why our institution gives equal importance to sports and physical education alongside your academics.

Think of me not just as a chairman, but as a father figure who is always ready to guide you down the right path, celebrate your biggest joys, and stand by you to share your sorrows.

You are stepping into a life-changing journey at DMJ, and we are ready to support you every single step of the way.

With all my support,

A Message of Warmth and Purpose

Welcome to the DMJ Institute of Nursing Science in Bengaluru. As you step through our doors, you are not just entering a college. You are becoming a cherished part of a large, vibrant family. I look forward to watching you grow into courageous, brilliant, and deeply compassionate healers.

As your Dean, and as someone who walked this path for 40 years before you, my promise to you is simple: you will never walk alone. Our campus is a place where your education is deeply student-centred. Your struggles will be met with guidance, your doubts with patience, and your triumphs with immense pride.

Nursing is not merely a job; it is a sacred commitment to heal patients with care and endless love. I expect you to strive for absolute perfection in your work. A good nurse notices the smallest change in a patient's breathing, keeps their uniform immaculate, and maintains strict professionalism. But scientific perfection means nothing without a good heart. You must approach every bed with deep sensitivity, like they are your own family.

Remember, your future is limitless. While many of you save lives at the bedside, others will leave this home to become inspiring nurse educators, meticulous clinical researchers, or visionary hospital administrators. Whichever path you choose, you will carry the gentle, ethical flame of DMJ with you.

Study hard, love deeply, and let your empathy change the world. I am always here to guide your steps.

With love,
Dean

Principal's Message

Welcome to DMJ Institute of Nursing Science.

As a graduate in Psychiatric Nursing, my journey in healthcare has taught me that true healing encompasses both the mind and the body.

As the Principal of DMJIONS, it is my privilege to welcome you to a community where education goes far beyond the pages of a textbook. With over 17 years in nursing education alongside rich clinical experience, I have walked with countless students on their journeys. This path has taught me a profound truth: the entire world is our classroom for psychology, and every daily interaction is a chance to learn, grow and understand human nature.

My specialization in Psychiatric Nursing has given me a unique window into the minds and hearts of our students. I deeply understand the academic pressures, emotional hurdles and personal challenges you face. Please know that my door is always open. Whether you need academic guidance or a confidential space for personal counselling, I am here to support you every single step of the way.

At our college, which proudly offers both B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing programmes, we do not just teach you how to pass exams; we prepare you for life.

I expect and encourage each of you to face every obstacle upfront and boldly. Challenges are not roadblocks - they are the stepping stones that build your clinical courage.

Always remember that keen observation and deep empathetic understanding are the greatest keys a nurse can possess.

Alongside our dedicated faculty, whom I am honoured to guide and mentor, we are fully committed to leading by example and nurturing your potential.

Let us work hard, support one another and live up to our college motto every day.

Warm regards,
Prof. Karthik Aiyappa Sathyan
